The Jewish Community Preschool (JCP) is a joint program of Temple Emanuel and Beth Israel Synagogue, serving children from ages 2 to 5. The JCP offers an alternative for families seeking a developmentally appropriate preschool program that will instill a lifelong enthusiasm for learning.
The JCP provides an interactive and stimulating environment that encourages creativity, discovery, and self-expression. Play is an essential part of our preschool day and enhances each child’s emotional, physical, and social development.
Our program will enrich your child with Jewish values and traditions while recognizing, respecting, and exploring cultural differences.
The philosophy of our preschool is first and foremost to offer a program in which we help families to nurture and educate their children in an environment that promotes morals and values important for giving children quality learning. The preschool is child centered, with hands-on approaches to learning. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate, adapting to serve the needs of each individual child. Children are given opportunities to develop physically, socially, cognitively, and spiritually. Teachers serve as guides, helping children to discover things for themselves. The children are encouraged by doing.
